Slight battery draw.

2003 Scab. Unless I pull the #14 fuse or Battery Saver relay I have a .2 amp draw. With all of those in, the the dome light cycles off as it should some seconds after the door is closed. There are no door issues on the pannel either.

An initial draw of 0.2 amps is normal. Usually, if you monitor the current for several hours, you will see that the current drops to about 0.02 amps or less after several hours with all accessories off and the lights off. I don't know why the draw starts out at about 0.2 amps and then drops off, but it does. I have monitored mine several times. Even at 0.2 amps, your battery will retain a charge for several months.

How about if you live in much colder weather than SC ? Like Canada.

Slow drain on the battery

I was checking this after 10 hours and the battery voltage went from 12.6V, down to 12.2 V
in that time. The battery saver relay was still warm and closed 10 hours later. If it sits there for 2 days the battery voltage is down in the 11.7 V range. By removing the #14 fuse or the relay I will have the full 12.6 V after the same time. In looking at the Haynes Electrical system drawing, I see there is also a GEM timer. Could it be that and where is it at?
Thanks

Anyone have an wiring schematic for a 2003 f150 they can email? I have removed the fuse along with the battery saver and interior light relay and I still have a drain. My drain is more than .2 A, and my Haynes isn't the same as the electrical in the F150.

OOPS! I was having a real senior moment when I made that statement. I apologise for that statement. Your battery probably wouldn't last more than two days with a draw of 0.2 amps. Automotive batteries don't have much reserve capacity as they are designed to supply large starting currents for a short duration. It is almost impossible, if not impossible, to find a specification for reserve capacity on automotive batteries.
Good luck on finding the source of your problem.

Slight drain

Thanks for the thought though. I also think it could be the audio as I show some drain through there. I plan on pulling that fuse and retesting it with a fresh charge. I'm glad I have a few other things to drive.
