Adding 12v Outlets

Just bought a GPS and have it on the windshield just under the mirror. Wondering about adding a 12v outlet in the overhead console. I'd rather plug it in up there than have the power cord hanging from the window. Only other option is dash mount, but I kind of like it under the mirror.

I have 12volt outlets all over. Just have to look clean and not really be noticable. Just make sure you run the +/- directly off your battery for the best results.

Have you considered hard wiring it to a 12V source instead of using the plug? It would be a lot cleaner install, and easy to run the feed.

Hard wire or add new plugs, whichever you do DONT FORGET to fuse!

and i second the hardwire.. i have had all my radars in all my trucks hardwired. I absolutely HATE those little pigtail cig lighter wire plugs.
