What is this red blinking light???

I just bought a 2006 F150 FX4 and the is a red blinking light to the upper right of the headlamp switch. It blinks twice then off for a few seconds and does this over and over again. I have no idea what it is and wondering if any of you would know or how to find out.

Thanks.

Sounds like you have a aftermarket alarm system. I have the factory light up by the windshield and then another one by the far left vent.

I have figured out what the light is.

It is the PowerCode Technology dash status indicator. It was blinking twice because it was in Service/Valet mode. That was also the reason why my remote start did not work and the alarm would not arm.

I took it out of service mode and everything started working. I bought it on Monday night without me or the dealership knowing it has remote start.

Pretty good find!

Thanks for the replies!
