driver door problems

Hi all, I am having some problems with the electrical system in the driver's door, I have a 97 f150, 4x4, 4.6L, auto tranny,178,000 miles.

I was t-boned on the passenger side doors, in september 07, and i don't know if replacing that door has anything to do with the driver's doors problems, anyway here they are:

1. The factory alarm cannot be activated by pushing the lock button on the drivers door but can be by pushing the lock button on the passengers door.

2.When inside the cab the dome light will not come on when I open the drivers door but it will come on when i open the passenger door.

3.After I kill the engine and open the door the windows will still operate and when I open the passenger door they will not operate.

4. The ignition no longer chimes when the keys are in it.

5. The cruise control quit working.

Thanks in advance

1-4 sound like they are related to the switch on the door latch. Try the WD40 trick in the sticky at the top of this forum or troubleshoot/replace the switch.

5. Did you have the cruise recall done? When it was in the shop did they disconnect the switch on the brake master cylinder because the recall wasn't done?

Do you have an aftemarket alarm tied into your doorlock system so where it arms when the doorls lock? or did you mean factory alarm? It's funny that the driver's side is acting up, almost like the wiring the shop did messed up your driver's side wiring...

This is a the factory alarm system and I did not do the recall as of yet.

Where is the button on the door located, I have looked for it but could not find it.

Thanks

I sprayed the latch with a lube and this did not help any.

I am going by a dealer tomorrow to get the cruise control unhooked.
