Fog Lights?
Fog Lights?
I'm looking to add a new front bumper to my 06...
I want the bumper from the 04-05 with the square fog lights and tow hook holes.. Not the round fog lights...
If i get that bumper and buy the fog lights, do i need anything else, or is it just straight plug and play??
Anyone have the part numbers?
Any info would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

Thank you

Hi, I don't want to hi jack this thread but a similar question, I have an 03 that doesnt have fog lights or tow hooks. Can i put on a new valence with fog lights and tow hook holes? Will the tow hook be able to still hook up to my truck even though there arent any on it now.
Thanks
Thanks
The 06 bumper fits on the 04-05 so I don't see why you couldn't go the other way. As for the question on the 03 the tow hooks bolt into the frame and I am pretty sure when you look up a frame in the parts catalog it does not have tow hooks as an option. If you change the valance to a tow hook and fog light part you should be able to bolt the hooks in. You may have to change over a bracket that is there at the end of the frame rail. Drop me an email and I'll get you some part numbers.

Emailing you now.
I tried to install an 05 bumper on my 06 F150 and it would not work. The mounting holes are different.

Alright so you tried to install an 05' Front bumper on your 06' and it did not fit?
What was wrong with it?
Anyone else have any more information on this subject... I'm trying to order these parts before my leave is up and get the work done.. I ran to the local salvage yard today, now a salvage yard in CA is nothing like the one's back in MD... They did not have a single new body ford....
Also... With the fog lights, i understand the harness is there.. Do i need a new switch?

The top portion of the bumper which connects to the frame is designed differently on the 04/05 model compared to the 06/07 model. Trust me, I tried to install the bumper with the square foglights on my 06 and it DID NOT fit. Don't waste your time or money as I did unless you plan on doing extensive modification to your truck and bumper to make it fit. It IS NOT an out of the box fit.

Did you change any of the brackets out from the 06' to match the 04/05 bumper?
I've heard that if you take the brackets and the bumper it will work..
Now your saying it won't... So this sucks

The only issue I had to work around was the deciding what hardware to use to bolt that lower valance lip on, since I didn't get anything with the package from Certifit...I think 10 3/8" x 1" bolts with corresponding lock washers and lock nuts hold it all together quite nicely considering the stealership told me the fastener clips (like those holding the upper valance) aren't stocked these days.

Ok so anyone with a 2006/2007 F150:
Have you swapped you bumper (complete) for a 2004/2005 bumper (complete) and got it to work?
Complete: meaning all brackets, hardware and parts needed

Well, in that case; maybe it will work. I did not try to switch any brackets from the 04/05 to my truck. With all the modding it will take to mount the 04/05 bumper, you may decide it's just not worth the cost and time. Let us know how it works out for you.

What do you mean "with all the modding it will take"??
Does anyone know if an XLT is already pre-wired for fog lights, and where can i expect to find the connections if it is pre-wired.
