I don't want my headlights (or tail lights) to flash when ever I use the remote or lock the doors and then close them. I am driving an '07 expedition, and I know where I left my vehicle, I don't need the lights to come on to tell me. I've looked in the manual, but no luck. Any ideas?

 

Where ever or if there is a brain would be the place to look. There should be some kind of lead that would run the signal to the lights to flash. Remove wire.

 

If there's a wire going from the DDM to the LCM, you could cut it. But it's more likely going thru the SCP network, which means you'd have to talk a good Ford tech (with a WDS) into going into module configuration & turning off that function (if it's even possible). You might also try going to CVN and asking about "dark mode" on '07 P71s (cop cars) to find out if you can configure your Ex that way. Users whose opinions I'd trust include Technoweenie, 2vmodular, Liquid, & dRock97GrandMarquis. This is how the OLDER cop cars were done, but it has probably changed since then.
