Hey whatsup, my driver window just crapped out on my 2000 super crew. I know I could operate the window after I shut down the engine and that it can both manually roll down or roll down automatically (with one push of the button).

I hear the relay when I push the down putton but it dosen't move. It did move up but not down. This happened 6 months back but the window just started working the next day!?

Anyways could it be the relay or the motor?

The symptoms you are describing sound the same as my dad's '01 had when the window went out.

This thread will show where to drill the holes to get to the power window motor, to remove it.

Dad's lasted about 60 days after smacking it against the tire, and then the next time about 15 days. He got a motor from Napa. He shopped around, as one Napa store vs. the next Napa, had 20.00 price deltas. Ford online parts places were higher, and still had the core charge. I don't know if he checked Autozone or the likes ( or I should say I cannot remember if he did, and what the results were )
