0n my 97 f150 sometimes when i signal to go left (and only left) the arm stays down and the signal does not work. and other times i signal and it clicks really fast (like a bulb is out) but if i turn it off and on again its fine. and yes my wheel is straight. can anybody help me out?

 

Does tilting the steering wheel affect it? I have 97 as well, left side blinker was fast blinking sometimes, the problem was the blinker wire in the steering column was pulled loose.
