Need Help

Hello,
I have a 2004 Heritage F150. It had a crappy bench seat. I went to the junkyard and picked up a split bench. After getting it installed and getting the wires hooked up, everything seems to work fine except that the passenger airbag light on the dash is lit, eventhough it is in the turned off position. Is there any fix for this?

Umm, the OFF light indicates that the passenger side airbag is turned off, which you stated it is so.... :dunno What's the problem?

The airbag light is on in both positions without anyone sitting in the passenger seat. Sorry I wasn't very descriptive on the first post. I think the light is supposed to be lit when the passenger air bag is turned off right?

umm... the light indicates that the passenger air bag is off... i guess it is supposed to be a warning/reminder light of some sort... i drive w/ the passenger air bag off always, and the light is always lit... the light being on when the airbag on must be a separate problem electrically itself. there aren't any sensors to the best of my knowledge of 97-03's, and 04 heritages in the seats to make the light glow w/ the air bag on...
