Airbag reset question, help please

I partially took apart the dash on my 1999 F150 to see how to get to the blend door, in the process I removed the passenger side airbag, when I reinstalled everything my airbag light now comes on and stays on. Is there a way to reset the airbag?, I tryed disconnecting the battery but to no luck.

Did you disconnect the connection to the airbag? If thats not it you will need to have scan done to retrieve the code. Autozone can not scan for airbag codes.

Check the fuse for the airbag to see if you blew it. Look in your owners manual to see which one it is.

Count the airbag light flashes. That's your fault code.

You will usually need a scan tool to reset the airbag light. It does not reset with power removal.

When you get everything put back together right, the light will go off. If it's on, it means there's a problem. There's no such thing as "resetting" a Ford airbag light. You have to fix it, or rip it out.
