Like the title says, I am in the middle of installing factory turn signal mirrors on my new (to me) SuperCab, but I have hit a roadblock.

I peeled the D/S door panel off, dug around, and didn't find any wiring in the door or behind the kick panel to hook the mirror wire harness to. A quick roadie down the road to the dealer tells me that I can pay $240 to buy then swap the underdash harness for the power package version...

I just did the fogs this morning and that wiring is there, so this is a bummer.

Since I already got these mirrors from Certifit, I need to stick with them if I go farther.

I guess my alternative is to snip and tuck from the turn signals (Oh Lord, I'd rather plug and play), but if someone knows that there is an add-on pigtail(s) and knows where it goes, I'm all ears on part number and where to find it.

 

Okay, nevermind...

I think I'll just be proud that I got the fogs on and sell the mirrors.

I'm just not in the mood to hack into wiring on something this new to me...and run wires all over the place under the dash.

 

how much did the mirrors cost you?? just curious i plan on doing the same thing to my 2003 screwcab fx4 4x4 i took the red cover off and it has the cut out clearance for the signal on the main part of the mirror base but i would like to and separte light for the turnsignal and a running light like the f250 and f350 have

 

About $70 per from Certifit.

Got the fogs and valance from them at the same time as the mirrors.

Oh well, I'm bummed, but the fogs were a must as I had the wiring and relays already in place. I need to get back out and plug them in now...

Just "T" tap into the turn signals and call it a day. they will work and look just fine..... There is that enough motovation for ya

 

I had second thoughts thinking about that...

I work four nights starting tonight, so I won't be motivated until at least middle of next week.

Oh well. Need to get those mirrors painted silver in that case.

Feeling motivated a wee bit at least.
