PCM Wire

What color is the wire that goes from the keyswitch to the pcm relay? It should be hot in "run" and in "start".

I heard that it was gray with a green stripe, but I can't find it.

Thanks.

If you have red/light blue [my diagram shows R/LB] might be the one.

I figured it out. It's the dark blue with a stripe. I don't remember the color of the stripe. I think it is green. It gets power during key on, and stays on during cranking. Just what the wideband ordered. Thanks for the reply.

You should be using the R wire, which is the OUTput from the EEC PWR relay. It's made to handle a lot of current. Using the TRIGGER (input) wire for that relay could overload the circuit.

It sounds like you hooked into the fuel pump relay output (DG/Y) which won't stay hot for more than a second if you don't start the engine.

I think I tied into a blue one. It comes on with the key in RUN only, and it stays on during CRANK. It's a very large wire (maybe 10 guage). Do you know what it goes to? Whatever it is, I'm running the XD-16 and the LC-1 off of it.

I'm not familiar enough with '97-up trucks to know - but if you can follow it to a known connector, fuse, or component, I can look it up.

Don't worry about it. It's working, and it hasn't caught on fire yet.
