I have a 1998 F150 4.6l 5 sp standard that did not come with a tach. I have no idea who orders a standard truck with no tach but they should be shot. Can I swap a cluster from say a 1999 or a bit new ie under 03 into it. Is it a simple plug and play or do I have to hunt extra wire harness.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I have a similar question regarding putting a 99-03 cluster in a 97-98, and what modifications are involved. If anyone knows anything that would be of use it would be much appreciated.
