Starter Problem?

1998 F150 4x4 w/4.6L Triton

Yesterday, my wife got into our truck to come after work and the vehicle would not turn over;AAA was called and their opinion was a bad starter. The truck was towed to the house and I replaced the starter (bench tested) along with the firewall mounted solenoid/relay. A test of the old starter confirmed the diagnosis of the tow truck driver. The vehicle still will not turn over (or the starter engage) although the solenoid/relay sounds like it is making contact. Are there any fuses or other contacts that need to be checked? Correct wiring of these items has been confirmed- could this possibly be a bad wire? Any help is greatly appreciated.

is your battery fully charged??? was it a reman starter?? sometimes you can get a bad one. happened to me on a alternator once. tap it with a hammer. it could be binding on the flywheel.
