Service Engine Soon - Light/Diagnosis
Today my Service Engine Soon light came on in my 99-f150 4x4. I have done a little research and it seems like I can by a device which will allow me to read the error code which is causing this light to display. Which one should I buy and where can I get one of these devices?

Just got to autozone and have it scanned.
Write down the actual DTC codes.
Don't let the monkeys there try to diagnose it for you.
Come back here and SEARCH for previous discussions using the fault codes(s) as your SEARCH keyword(s).
Ask if you can't find anything relevent or if you get stuck.
