I did a search and found some info but I need a little more clarification. It looks like I have a common problem. The right passenger side tail light quit, but gradually. I could set the tilt in different positions and get the blinker to work until it stopped altogether. The thread I found said something about replacing the shell and pulling a little more slack in the wiring. What I need to know is, where is this shell? Inside the steering column, possibly? What does it look like? I used to be a mechanic in the chemical industry and I have a pretty extensive tool box, but will I need any specific tools to change this out?
