4 auto down windows????

Has anyone ever tried getting another window switch like the one that is used for the drivers side window, and replacing the other 3 switches on the drivers side arm rest? I was wondering if I could make them all auto down this way. I think the switch used for the drivers side down is just has a hold feature with a circuit breaker.

Let me know if anyone has tried this. I may do some investigating on my own.

Have a bunch of friends who did this on 01-03 rangers with great results. they hit up the junk yards and found them pretty cheap. They ofcourse only had to worry about the passenger door as the rear windows dont actually function on rangers, but it worked well for them on the passenger side, so i dont see why you couldnt do it with the other 3

I always wondered the same thing. Sometimes though, the switches are all one assembly with a master plug, so it may be hard to just change one switch. If they are seperate, I don't see why it wouldn't work.... one of those things you would have to try to find out.

do you mean rewire so one switch will do all windows or all 4 switches will work the same as the auto switch?

Thanks for the info

yeah, but if you do it that way, to get only the drivers window to go down (or up) you would have to hold down all 4 switches... I think it would be cool to put autos on all of the windows tho!

check this site out. this is what I used on my 02 GT and my 04 Mach 1. it worked great and even was installed on my son's 89 LX. Not sure if it would work on the f-150 but I do not see why not.

hey man, if you actually figure out a way to do it, it way be way sweet of you to possibly make a how-to-guide.

The site says it works on F series as well, and it's pretty cheap. How does the system work, does it work off the drivers window like other have mentioned or is it something else? Also, does it work for all the windows or just a single window (wondering since I have a Screw).
