I dont even understand how it works. Is it the little black box behind the rear view that is taking the reading? Cuz when I get in my truck here in florida, it says that it is 100 degrees, but then if i roll down the windows and let it air out it goes down to the temp outside. does that make sense? Is that how it is supposed to work?
No the black box behind the mirror is for the digital compass. The outside temp sensor is behind the grill in front of the radiator. Here's a good thread to check out on it: https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...erature+sensor.
