fuse 13 amperage question

I just realized that all 3 of my brake lights were out today, so I checked bulbs and fuses according to a Haynes schematic. Bulbs good, fuse 13 is good so I am assuming it's a bad BOO switch (luckily only about $10 at the parts store). One thing I noticed is that fuse 13 is supposed to be 15A according to the schematic and the one in my panel is a 20A so I'm assuming that the previous owner may have switched this fuse for some reason. The fuse is not blown, but should I change it to the correct amperage anyway and could it be affecting anything? Thanks.

If your owner's manual says 15 A, change it . Personally, IIRC, that one is a 20A and is the reason for the cruise control recall and the truck fires.

Make certain your recall has been done.
