Old Ford Elctrical Problems

Hey Guys,
On my 1979 Ford, The reveres lights don't work. What could be the problem? Everything else works. I plan on re wiring rverything back there anyway but I was just curious to if there was a switch somewhere that may have gone bad.

Also, My seat belt warning light doesnt come one if the belt isn't on. It just lights up when I first start it up. There are wires coming from the drivers buckle so I assume thats what they are for.

Finally, I looked at LMC truck to no luck but i need a wiring harness for the rear lights and trailer hook ups and such. Where could I find such a thing?

Thanks

Do you have a Haynes manual for that truck? Trace the back-up lights wiring thru the switch on the trans to the fuse.

Find the wires under the seat that go to the belt & reconnect them. They shouldn't be twisted together for the warning to work as designed.

You're probably on your own for a replacement taillight harness, but you can contact Painless Wiring, or Ryan on his site. He builds custom harnesses, but he's not cheap and he stays very busy, so it might take some time.
