i am installing a oem security system on my truck and it wants me to mount the status/valet switch light somewhere in my truck. i dont like that is there any way to separate the 1 into 2 and have a status light and the valet switch separate. this way i can mount the light in the theft spot in the dash. because today i took off mu dash dash to see if it would fit and it doesnt, but in the theft spot there already was a light and i traced the circut board back to the harness and there were wires coming out of it so does this mean i have a security system.and can i splice the wires into it from the valet switch.
