Keypad Reset without code

I need to reprogram my keypad, on my 04 Screw Lariat. I bought it used and the dealership said they didn't know what the code was. Then they wanted to charge me $80 to reset it with their computer. There is some bloke on ebay that sells instructions for $20, but would like to accomplish this free if possible. Any ford mechanics out there that know the secret?

If it's between $80 at the dealership and $20 on ebay from some idiot that probably doesn't know what he's talking about, I'd pay the $80 once and be done with it.

Other than that, there should be a security module in your truck...or a keyless entry module, something like that. I believe it's somewhere under your rear seat...there should be a label on it that has the 5-digit code on it somewhere. At least it was on older exploders in the rear.

Here is another members gallery that shows how to remove the rear seat.

https://www.f150online.com/galleries....cfm?gnum=5660

The main picture there showing the back fo the cab with the seat back out, the BSM / VSM is on the right hand side of the picture. This is about 8" over from the driver's side C-pillar.

This has the white sticker on it, as did the old RAP / CSM in the '99-'03 under the dash.

Worked like a champ!!

i just bought a 05 supercrew and followed the pictures and it worked like a champ. my code was there and is not in my head.
thanks!!

btgw, the clips that hold the seat on the bottom are made of plastic.
my buddy was able to get the passenger sid ehook off with his hand and the other side kind of slipped out on its own.

putting it back on is a lot easier!!
