Cruise Control Searching

01 Excursion, 5.4L, stock, Cruise Control Fuse Recall has been performed. PROBLEM: The cruise control has a problem holding a steady speed when set at 68 - 70 MPH. The speed keeps increasing and decreasing about +/- 1 MPH as though the cruise control is searching for the correct speed. It did this BEFORE and AFTER the recall. I understand Ford had a TSB out on this problem but I have been unable to locate it. Does anyone have access to the TSB or know what the fix is for this problem? Thanks!

For such a narrow hunting range, check out the servo control cable for loose tie point at throttle body, or some binding in operation.
Going deeper, the Servo and anti lock brake module along with other things can be a cause.
I took a look for a TSB on another site and found none listed.
I gave you info out of Ford service info.

Bluegrass, Thanks for the info, I will check out the servo control cable. With limited information available to me on the ABS and servo module, I probably will not be able to check those out.
