led turn signal wireup: should i put a fuse?

led turn signal wireup: should i put a fuse?

im almost done wiring up my powered mirror with led turn signals. just want to make sure before i finalize my wiring. should i put an inline fuse to the wire that's connected to the turn signal wire, or will vampire tapping directly to it will be just as fine? thx

On my '95 and '01 when I added the Muth mirrors, I did the direct T-Tap on the '95, and the '01 was installed directly into the factory harness location at the connector in the door, no additional fuses.

Factory harness does not use an additional fuse, so you should be good with a direct wire, as long as you do not pinch the wires anywhere.

'05 should be in the door, so a fuse would be a pain to get to anyway.
