Key less entry

I have a 2000 f150.
Is there a solenoid or other device that that could go bad on this factory keyless entry equipment? When I put in my code in, it acts like it doesn't have enough juice to open the locks,,, Occasionally it works, but more times it does not.
thank you
rl

Test the voltage across the wires of any lock motor WHILE the RKE is attempting to operate them. If it's noticeably less than battery voltage, you have high resistance somewhere. If it's very close to battery voltage, the linkage is binding or the motors are weak/dying.

Does your power door locks work correctly when your entry code doesn't??

Update info and we'll take it from there

I have one on my truck and it is wireless, I can look for the papers to see how to change the batteries. if I had to guess I would say your battery is going dead if everything works except for the keypad.
