night time column shift light for gears burnt out

Hi all,
I have a 2004 f150 fx4 screw and the column shift light for the gears burnt out and I have no idea how to change it. The funny thing is I stopped by a ford dealership and asked one of the service technicians and he said, well I never seen one of those burn out so I don't know what to tell ya how to change it. Not sure if its fuse related, but I checked them anyways and all was fine. If anyone has any advise please let me know.
Thanks

Step 1 has to be: remove the instrument cluster. Have you found a source for replacement bulbs?

Oh. I don't know about the floor shifter. But if ALL the dealer service department could tell you was "Idunno", I'd never go back there. Find another dealer, or a good independent shop.
