I used to have a ranger that did this to me once. Pull the door panel off and check to make sure the harness is connected to the switch. Hope this helps.

I don't want to assume, but does this mean that the pass side works as it should ?

If so, you have power to the switch, and the switch contacts on that side work.

If you pull off the door skin, the power mirror connector is inside the door, right behind the area for the power mirror sail panel.

If you apply power to the :

Dark Blue and Yellow wires, the mirror should move up or down. Reverse the polarity and it should move the other way.

Then apply power to the :
Red and Yellow Wires, the mirror should move in or out ( L or R ). Reverse the polarity, and it should move the other direction.

If you try this, and the mirror does not move, there is a problem with the mirror motor, or from the connector to the motor, which if it is the motor, it is new mirror time.

If you try this and the mirror does work as it should, there is a problem with the L / R control on power mirror switch, and it needs to be replaced.

This might sound like a silly question, but humor me. Have you had the door panel off as of late, for something like a speaker install ?
Second dumb question, when you switch from Right mirror control to left, do you feel 2 clicks on the switch, when rotating it ? 1st click is a center off position.

My mirrors in my 2000 F150 SCAB work "electrically" but they do not steer as they should. Vertical is more of an "UP to the left" instead of straight up. Both mirrors are doing this? Is this an electric problem?
