Source for Factory Electrical Parts?
Does anyone know of an Authorized Ford Parts website that prices parts reasonably (including the shipping)? Or are we merely pawns who must bow to the great and mighty retail dealers, and they always have us by the short hairs? I've priced parts over the phone with local dealers here in Houston, and the prices can differ greatly. In particular, I'm needing to replace the remote side mirrors selector switch and the cruise control switch harness on my '99. Thanks!
If they have too much of something they may want to cut the price to make room for the newer parts,if not it stays the same. You can always find a good deal on something you don't need then what you need. They know that if you want to stay with FORD parts you will pay for it.
Call ArmorJ - they have ~6 yards on the highway between Silsbee & Kountze. I don't know if they ship, though. There are probably plenty of good yards around Houston, though.
In Addition to Joe's site :
www.oemfordparts.com
www.fordparts.com
I have used all 3. Depends on the price. All 3 are very helpful with email replies with looking up part numbers that are not listed in their online catalog.
Remember Electrical parts once opened are non returnable ( same for getting them at your dealer ).
