This is my Dad’s Ford F-150 and I removed the battery connections and while I was doing so the Theft went on. It began to honk and flash the turn signals. I then reconnected the battery and tried to start it and it would not crank. When I tried to crank it, the theft light would rapidly flash along with the turn signals again. What is going on with this truck?

side note: I also have an alarm push buttom thing for the factory alarm that has a lock/unlock on one button and a "option" button next to it. When i push the option button, it flashes rapidly but the lock/unlock button does not flash when pushed.

HELP!!!

Question, the fob you are using, is it a RKE ( Remote Keyless Entry ) or the Ford Gold level RMST ( Remote start w/ Alarm ).

Is there is key on the fob ( CA picture, but Ford OEM's it from them ) :

or if it looks like this, it is the RKE :

If it is a gold level RMST w/ Alarm, then there is an option button that you need to find. Maybe in the Anti-submarine panel, or mine for my silver is next to the hood latch. This is a installer by installer thing.
