Ford SecuriLock Alarm System

Does anyone know anything about this crappy Ford alarm system. I am troubleshooting a whole slew of electrical problems on my 2001 F150 which I am now beginning to think are all related to this alarm system. The head lights have an interesting Ford feature which prevents them from ever extinguishing once they have been turned on. At this moment in time momentarily removing the fuse F3 in the engine compartment fuse box is the only way to reset the headlights. In addition I have no tail lights, no dash lights, and the alram system frequently goes off for no apparent reason. I downloaded some wiring diagrams that someone so graciously posted just to get an idea of which subassemblies might lead to these symptoms. I have since replaced the dash mount headlight/instrument cluster dimmer switch assembly which had no effect on the problem. I was about to replace the multiswitch in the steering column when the alarm system engaged and began honking the horn and flashing the head lights again. At that moment I realized that the headlight wiring diagrams I am looking at can't possibly be complete since they show no connections for any SecuriLock alarm system which obviously can turn the head lights on and off. So, my thinking is that alarm can flash the headlights when in alarm mode it is certainly capable of failing in such a way to leave the headlights permanently on. Does anyone know how I can elliminate this crappy SecuriLock alarm system from my 2001 F150? Where is the subassembly located? Is there a fuse, breaker, or wiring harness which I can pull to disconnect to disable it? Any thoughts?

Nick
