Weird Problem

I have a 2001 screw Lariat, I recently replaced the battery and since then if the truck is turned off for more than a few mins, when you turn the key you will get nothing, but if you remove the key and push the unlock button on the key fob, everything will be normal....any way to override this, and override the locking of the doors when in drive?

Thanks

Fixing Your Battery/non Start Problem

If your supercrew is like mine under the dash you should have a security light that is red and usually flashes when you truck is locked and turned off. The alarm requires reseting after disengaging or replacing the battery. All you need to do is push that little red light in as it is also a reset switch. After that your system should work normally again. Your horn should also sound only once when you set the alarm if it has been reset properly. If not it will sound twice indicating it has not been reset. Try this and see if this helps. Worked for me.
