the fog lamp mod

I was wondering, how do I make my 2001 fogs turn on without the headlamps having to be on at the same time, anyone know what I have to do? I dont really want to run wire or install a switch, I am hoping its just something i can do in the headlamp switch itself.

search for the term foglight mod* and you could get :

https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=53515

A quick check of the color codes to the 2001 EVTM 86-2, shows the jumper installed is the correct one.

Brown is the parking lamps
White w/ Black Stripe is the power to the fog lamps switch.

This will get you power to the switch any time the parkign lamps are on, and the ramp modification is so you can pull the switch out ( fog lamps on ) in the parking lamp position of the main headlamp switch.

So you have to do the wire mod and the ramp mod in order to get this to work?

How hard is the ramp mod to do safely?
