Help with O2 sensor problem.

I was getting P-0133. Slow responce from oxygen sensor. I had the O2 sensor replaced and still get the same code. Any other ideas. They told me it's usually the catalytic converter. They want $500.00 to replace the converter. I hate to just start replacing things. The thing that sucks is I have to go through emissions testing this month.
Thanks,
Craig

It ain't the coverter. The cat cannot cause this code.

Assuming they replaced the correct (Upstream, passenger side) side, you'r left with a possible vacuum leak or an exhaust/manifold leak that is specific to bank 1 only.

If this was an independent shop that did the previous, I'd suggest taking to a Ford dealership that has a good diagnostic technician who actually understands the systemand has the proper tools and test procedures to diagnose and repair it properly.

P-0133 is bank 1 sensor 1 which is the front o2 sensor on the drivers side.. you replaced the wrong one if you already replaced one

I am not trying to argue or anything, but all the searches here say bank 1 is the passenger side.
