Ok, this one has me stumped. 01 5.4 Liter.

Truck wont start, and this white relay keeps clicking in the dash, whether the key is in or not. Got it started by jumping, ran fine, no issues.

I get home and put it on the battery charger. For some reason, it's turning the battery charges on/off. Battery appears to be fully charged however, the truck will not turn over. The hood lights are turning on/off. If I press the brake pedal the clicking relay stops....Please help!



Any ideas?

 

Follow up: Battery is @ 12.89volts.

Also, when I turn on the headlights, push the brake pedal the clicking stops. I removed the neg cable to see if it would possibly reset something, but to no avail. Lights come on intermittently when the clicking stops...this is just plain weird.

Problem solved. Battery was wacked out. Never seen this happen from a dead battery. Would jump from .10v to 14v......$80 dollars and five minutes problem solved.
