Window motor for 2004

I just wanted to see if anyone could recommend somewhere I can get a new drivers side window motor. One of the cables snapped and the dealership wants $400+ to replace it. If I can get my hands on a cheap re-build or something I will just fix it myself! Thanks!

Im actually just had the same problem. My uncle is a used car dealer and deals directly with a Ford company. Im taking it to get fixed tomorrow. As far as i know he is just going to get me a cable kit to replace.

Might want to look into that or if that is the problem and all you need is the cable kit ill find out a wholesale price on the cable kit and motor and let you know.

I would sure appreciate it man. Although are you sure that all you need is the cable assembly? The dealership told me that the motor, regulator, cables, etc. are all one big unit and do not come seperatly.

If you do find out otherwise then yes please let me know. My motor is just fine... the cable just broke. Thank you for your help.

Alright just got the truck back today. The window regulator was 117 and some change. I had my uncle's guy put it in for 40 bucks.

My motor also worked it was the cables had come uncoiled from it. So if you want i could see if my uncle could get me another assembly from ford for cost.

Hey man I appreciate the help. Since my truck was unsecure because of the window I needed a quick fix and ended up buying one from the local Ford shop. I am planning on putting in this weekend. Thanks for the help though!

Is your truck the new body style or is it the heritage? If it is the new body style, you can purchase the regulator/motor assembly for about $90.00 plus sipping from www.fordparts.com. Once you get the door panel off, the installation is very easy.

It is the new body style and you were right. The install was very easy. Only took about half an hour. Thanks for the help.
