Question Cruise Control Hot Wire

I need to know where & which wire is the hot when its turned on, on a 97 F150. Please if anyone can help, Thanks.

Don't know what you are trying to do, so here are the diagrams.

Not quite as easy as the xxx color wire in the connector Cxxx.

I want to hook up a aftermarket light in dash to show when the cruise is on.Can this be done??

Not very easily. There is no existing electrical circuit that is accessible that is active only when the speed control is engaged for you to tap into.

You would have to add a sensor or switch to monitor the physical movement of the actuator cable.
