Hey all,
Well i installed a body lift this weekend and i finally finished it today and i go to reconnect the battery and the car starts honking. I have a factory alarm system but no power locks. All i have is a lock and unlock keychain switch that turns the alarm on or off. But when i connnected the battery and it started honking I pressed the unlock button on the key chain and it just kept honking. Whats going on with it?

 

I doubt it's a "factory" alarm system - Ford doesn't install alarms unless the truck has power locks and remote keyless entry as well.

I would suspect this was installed by the dealer or a previous owner. In that case you would need to find the alarm module (typically mounted under the dash), figure out who the manufacturer is, and contact them for assistance.
