Question F250 Fogs on F150...2005

Has anyone taken the fogs that they use on the F250's in the lower grill and installed them in a F150? I have an '05 SCREW XLT with no fogs. The openings in the lower grill has the honeycomb "fog light covers" that are removable, these holes are the same size as the lights on the 250. Am I correct?

Anyone done this install?

Thanks
Kevin

The auxillary lights (I have trouble calling them "fog" lights because they don't throw a true fog pattern) from a Super Duty are small, square units. The fog lights on the '04 - '05 F-150 are true fog lights with a wide, flat pattern - but they're rectangular in shape. The brackets used to hold these different shaped units in different locations on different models of trucks are different too. (Did I say they're different?) Anyway, I suppose one could mount the Super Duty housings (with new brackets) on either side of the front license plate bracket on an F-150 if you were clever. After all, they do use the Super Duty housings in the Ranger - with different brackets.

I recall someone on this forum doing this mod a long time ago but I don't remember the guy's name. He mounted them in the bumper gap and they came out pretty nice.
