My 97 F150 is shorting out Alternators

I have 160,00 miles on this truck and have had no problems until a few weeks ago. My orginal alternator went out so I replaced it with one from AutoZone. That one lasted for about 15 minutes, good thing I bought the one with a lifetime replacement. I took it back and got another one, this one lasted for about 10 minutes and it too was fried!! I have checked for melted wires from the alt. to the starter and the starter selinoid, can't find anything wrong. I also replaced the battery with the last alternator. Does anyone have any suggestions for me. Thanks

It's Fixed!!!! It was the 4 gauge wire that goes from the alt. to the mega fuse on the firewall. It seems that it was carroded and provided too much resistance. So that caused the alt to keep pushing too much and just kept burning them up.
