what is up with this thing
I actually have a few questions.
my airbaglight is on,flashing 5-2 a couple times then going solid.ive heard this is showing a loss of power to the airbag system.I did bow a fuse to the A/B's I replaced the fuse light still on.does this light run through OBDII system ?If so I can turn it off much easier than paying the dealership.
Also my truck has always ran lean.I have changed the fuel filter,plugs,a couple coils,checked vacum hoses,any ideas?
I know it sound like a lil trouble but dont get me wrong,its a mean running lil s.o.b.

Air Bag system is indpendent of the OBDII.
The Air Bag system was never designed to be ignored or to clear a fault indication without repairing the fault. A design like that would make Ford liable for injuries in an accident and is a safety inspection item in most places and your insurance company also has an interest.
Next you gave no indication of how you know your engine is running lean.
Are there any codes to support it?

thanks, thats what I needed to know about the bags,guess I'll take it to the dealer.
As far as running lean,I am getting codes on it.
P0171 = lean bank 1
P0174 = lean bank 2
this is after new plugs,new #8coil,bank1 sens 1 o2 sens,and new mass air flow sens.codes were cleared and eng.light came on,those were the only 2 codes reading.

Well,I didnt have the $$$ to go to the dealer,Kept putting it off.
When,about a week ago,I started my truck and it finally happened.
Went off.
The computer finally realized the problem had ben rezolved,and shut the warning light off.
Why pay the dealer over $100 to turn it off if it shuts itself off when it figures out the problem was fixed.
I know its been several months since it came on,but I havent driven much this summer,its been so nice I've been riding the motorcycle.Probably only put like 100-200 miles max on truck.
It got rainy this week so I drove and noticed No bag Light.(and it aint burnt out,cause it comes on at sys. test @ egn.)
