Fuse Problem 2003 Lariat F150 4x4

I'd ;ike to know if anyone has had a problem with the 2003 supercab autolamp fuse blowing. Mine is connected to the beltminder/transmission overdrive contol switch and security module. That fuse pops whenever I turn the OD switch off and on again.

Seems to be ok until the switch is used

I'd suspect chafed wiring inside the shift lever or the column. Once the TCS is pressed, the signal only goes to the PCM, so your line to look at is pretty well identified.

Steve called it. Remove the upper and lower steering column shrouds and inspect the wiring at the point where it passes through at the base of the shifter lever. Usually they chafe right at that point.
