01 Electrical Chaos

My girlfriend's dad has an 01 F150 that is having an odd electrical problem.

It started when the radio would stay on when the truck was not running. It would run the battery down after a while. Recently, the radio will play while the truck is running when in park, but when you put the truck in gear and the doors lock, the radio shuts off until you put the truck back in park. It has had a few other weird problems that I cannot remember off the top of my head.

Has this happened to anyone else, and what is the fix? Could it be a bad ground somewhere? If so, where to start looking?

Thanks

I searched and got a ton of responses. Could you post the link to a particular thread tha explains the problem completely? I read a lot about it, but I can't find where the module is located.

Thanks.

On edit: This sounds about right. This happened a while back. We were in a drought for about 2 or 3 months, then it rained last night and when he went to crank the truck this morning, he had a dead battery. If you can point me to detailed info, we can probably nail this down!
