brake lights not working

The brake lights, including the third light, just stopped working on my 1999 Lincoln Navigator. It is not the fuse or bulbs. Are there any suggestions on where to go from here? What should I check??
Thanks

check the switch on the brake pedal. the switch could be broken or the wires may have pulled out.

Doublecheck F13 in the I/P fusepanel.

If blown, followup on the cruise recall discussed numerous times.
