2004 F150 Supercrew 4 door short bed keypad code location?!

hello everyone... i'm new to the F150 community and this forum... glad to meet everyone... i bought my truck from my brother in law and he's never heard of the 5 digit code and doesn't have it of course... i've read a lot of these threads trying to find this 5 digit code and i still can't find it... i think i read one thread where it said the computer module is behind the backseat?.. is this true... and if it is how do i take out the backseat... also i have a problem with the back left window ... i can roll it down with the driver controls but i can't roll them back up... but i can roll it down and up locally at the door itself... so i'm pretty sure it's the driver's switch for that window.. my question is how do i get at the internals of the switch itself... does the toggle switch just pop off out of the top or do i have to take the whole door apart?... your help is greatly appreciated... i'm very hesitant to go to a dealer where i know they'll try to burn the lining of my wallet....

The VSM is behind the rear seat on the SCrew and SCab.

A quick search for door code, and the instructions :
https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh....php?p=1999606

You did not make note if the keypad is already installed ?

If not, take note of the early build '04s not having the keypad function enabled in the VSM. What is the build date of your truck ?

The question on how to get the door panel off, search for door removal:

Good luck, let us know about the keypad and build date, prior to ordering akeypad. The dealer might hit you hard for the VSM programming, or they might be decient.

Got to love that, no cost involved for the "repairs"

Glad it helped out....
