Headlight help
Headlight help
I need some help from someone with a manual on a 99 super-duty. Im wanting to know what wire runs from the dimmer switch on the column to the headlights and also which wire connects the two headlights together.
Thanks in advance

Buck,
Sorry for the delay in getting this to you.
These are from the 1999 EVTM:
71-1 Instrumentation Illumination ( for your dimmer question ):

85-1 Headlamps ( for your headlamp wiring question, forgot to look where S113 is at, don't know what you are after / working on ) :

Good luck with what ever you are working on, let us know if you are after something else.
These are in my 3rd gallery, if you want to directly download the JPEGs.

Thanks a million. I am hooking up a WIG-WAG on my headlights. Im a volunteer FF and EMT and bought a used wig-wag relay for the headlights. Thats exactly what I needed
Thanks again

Buck,
Sounds good, I was a bit confused at the dimmer lead and the headlamp circuit question together. Could not think of what the 2 had to do with a mod.
Now I have at least half an idea of what is going on.
The wiring diagram was marked as F-250/F350 for the '99 year, so you should be all set.
When you get a chance, can you fill out your public profile. I looked at the EVTM, prior to asking this time ( F-250 or F-350 ), but next time I might forget or not look first, and ask the dumb question.
Good luck with the install. If you find out some pointers to the install, maybe posting them back, so the next member doing the install might search for them. If you can include the wig-wag mfgr and model.

No probelm Steve. I got it figured out with your schematics and a test light. The wig-wag I bought was a federal signal FHL2-SC. Here are the installiation instructions
http://www.fedsig.com/products/docs/install/256A628.pdf
I hooked the yellow wire on the wigwag to the light green/black wire on my drivers headlight and cut the same wire on the passenger side and hooked it to the white/yellow wire on the wigwag. Ground your wigwag and supply it with 12v through a switch and there you go. It flashes your high beams in a wigwag pattern unless you turn your high beams on, then it shuts off. Worked like a charm
Thanks again Steve.
