no spark/Befudddled!!!!!

Unhappy no spark/Befudddled!!!!!

habought a 93f150 5.8L . started truck one morning idled for about 2 min then died. upon investigating, discoverd no fire. Replaced ignition coil, distributor, ignition module and ignition switch still no fire. have 12v to coil, 12v to all fuses, ran self check no codes (did have battery disconnected during ign. module replacement. am VERY BEFUDDDLED!!!!! What else can it be???? any ideas or advice or testing or anything ????please HELP!!!!

Did you replace the pickup inside the distributor? Put a test light between the positive post on the battery and the negative side of the coil and crank the engine over, the light should pulse, if it doesn't, the pickup is bad.

The ignition module is controlled by the PCM, there is a group of relays near the air cleaner, one is the EEC relay. It's usually marked on the cover, make sure it's getting power, and sending power with the key on.

will check that relay this evening and let you know. anything else you know of to check if that isn't it. am trying to fix the truck in the evenings and have limited time to use computer during day? Any ideas at all would be great from anybody----just really need to get this truck running asap!!!!THANXXX!!!!:

just pulled computer and opened it up. it's fried . am now checking wiring harness for a short need
EEC F2TF-12A650-MC the cheapest one ican find online is $172 at advanceauto are any other EEC's interchangeable with this one? Any info would be great.
