Sounds like you are trying to use the 5 digit code from the stick on keypad, where the one in the door needs the factory code from the BSM/VSM behind the rear seat back on the SuperCrew.

Take a look in the Technical Articles for a How to on removing the seat back. You will then need to remove the trim panel that is on the back wall, and get to the VSM. There is a sticker on it, with the 5 digit factory code.

You can then add the personal code ( following the directions in the owners manual ) to set it to the code you were using the on the wireless keypad.

Yes, if you had the stick on, it does not function like the keyless door handle pad. It is actually using the same frequency as your key fob. In other words, it's a key fob that requires a code rather than one button. That code will not be the factory code for the keyless entry. Here is what I went through. you may find also, even if you have the factory code that your BCM has to be programmed.

From what I read in your thread, you could not get lights, don't know if you ever tested the 7/8 & 9/0 combo to get the ( search for 7 only showed up in post counts, times, and the 172 cost for the VSM ). You did have the problem with the alarm being set off when you pressed a button ( no lights on the buttons ).

Ok, what you need is the code for your keyless entry, that was put in from the factory. It is 5 digit and you can get it off a label that is behind the back of the rear seat, or you can go to the dealer and they can retrieve it with a program. That code never changes and you have to have it to ebter your own selected code. The unit will then have 2 different codes and both will work. Any time you change your selected code, you have to enter the factory code.

is it not the same code that is on the credit card size piece of paper in the manual? I guess that is the one that came with the wireless stick on. I'll pull the seat out and find it.

You may have the right card in the manual, if so, it will be from Ford. If it is not from Ford, I bet someone wrote it on a card when they put the stickon on. The stick on will not use the same code as the keyless handle. It's possible you have the same problem I had, there was a ground wire that was not connected on the BSM.

Everything is good. Apparently the card i had was for the wireless stick-on.

Went to the dealership and talked to my service advisor. In about 2 min, one of the service techs came out and hooked his laptop up to the truck and pulled it off for me. He was actually the most helpful service tech i have ever talked to. He even asked me if i wanted to check anything else while he had me. I said heck yea! everything was grovy and my service advisor told me merry christmas! I was out $$$ free buddy!!! Thanks again!
