whats this ?

is this normal, its just hanging there ?? does anyone know what it is and where i connect it to ??

It looks like the harness for your trailer brake controller, it's where you plug in the brake controller, there is nothing that connects to it normally.

its not the trailer plug. thats on the right next to the diagnostic port. its an extra plug not used. maybe used by the dealer for testing.

here is my truck....
see the trailer plug on the right.....


here is a close up of it.....

Do you have RABS? It looks like the wire you ground to pull codes.

That plug is supposed to be mounted to that metal bracket.


See on the left hand side of the metal piece.... It just presses into the hole...

I don't know what it is. I kicked my wire (or something) and broke it off the plug. Truck still runs fine though....

It's hard to see in the picture, but according the the shop manual, the RABS diag connector has two wires going to it, LG/BK and R/PK (Light Green with a black stripe and Red with a pink stripe).

The component locater is fuzzy at best, and doesn't show any connector there.
