Blinker/cruise fuse

Hey all,

Just the other day I started blowing the fuse that is for the blinkers, hazzards, and speed control module. Ive checked a bunch of wires and cant find anything at all. Sometimes the fuse will last for awhile, other times it will blow the minute I put on a blinker, or hit the cruise button.

Im wondering if anyone has had or knows of any common problems like this that could maybe give me an idea of where to look? Im about ready to take it to a mechanic and let them pull thier hair out looking for it, but if someone has a good idea of where/what the problem might be, let me know. I cant seem to find anywere that it is shorting out.

let me know
THANKS

Quick test, have you moved the tilt on the steering coulmn to see if it happens at all positions ?

Do you use the Tilt a lot, or does it stay in the same place ?

I ask, to see if the short might be in the column or if we need to look else where.
I seem to recall posts where the harness or connector in the column was the problem, ususally these are for no-op problems ( high beams don't work, no turn signals, etc ).

Just something to start with..

Specify WHICH fuse (by fuse #).

If it's F13, check your cruise deactivator switch. What is your cruise recall status (completed, or not)?

I believe it is fuse 13 (cant remember) and I thought of that, but I unplugged it and it still blew the fuse.

I think we got it narrowed down the the steering coulmn, and from there I said screw it and took it to my mechanic to let them figure it out. Im tired of messing with it.

Thanks for the help though guys
