Question New Alternator of Battery?

I have a 1997 ford f150 with a sound system that has 2 amps and 2 subs on the stock alternator and Battery. My question is that I want to add underdrive pullies and Twin Electric fans to my truck and I was wondering if the stock alternator and battery would work fine or would I need to upgrade the alternator or battery or both. If I need to upgrade the battery, what would you recommend? Or could I have the alternator rewired for 200 amps if this is even possible. All help is greatly appreciated.

I am not and expert on this.

I know that Troyer Performance suggests increasing the idle (on the PCM) when running large amps or light systems (It might have been directed to underdrive pully's). Keeping that in mind, I would think that your current alternator should work, if you increase the idle speed.

A suggestion would be to install FARAD caps for your amps. this should help reduce the load on your alternator.

I did see a 200 amp alternator mentioned on the Ford Truck World website. Which I would like to have for my truck (I have a power inverter and BIG lights).

I hope that I have been able to help.

Good luck
